I replaced the screen on my wife’s iPhone 8 two days ago (with the kit from iFixit) and as soon as she turned it on there was a solid vertical yellow stripe from top to bottom of the screen on the right side. Is that the no passing zone? After rebooting it it is still there. She said, “It’s better than a cracked screen.” but I want it to be right not “good enough” since the screen is brand new. Thanks for your help.
I would reseat the screen connectors. If that doesn’t fix it you could have a defective screen. Contact ifixit for warranty claims
