Hi, I have Xiaomi Mi phone and last night I dropped it, since then it isn’t reading the sim card. I tried the below steps still it isn’t working, please help.

  1. Rebooted the cell phone.
  2. Took out the sim and inserted it again. Thank You.

Hi, just insert a paper below your sim and it will detect. You also dont need to shut down the phone.

Hi everyone ,wanted to ask i insert 2nd SIM in mi a2 , network has been recognized but there is no signal . could anyone help here in this regard

Guys this time its a much bigger issue. Xiaomi are working on it and hope to push a fix out before the end of the week. The issue only applies to vodafone Mi9 phones. Check this out. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/05/14… I have also spoken to Xiaomi customer support.

If the SIM card is not being detected by the phone anymore there may be 2 reasons why, first reason is that when it was dropped a cable that runs from the phones main circuit board to the SIM card tray has fallen off or has a loose connection. Most newer phones have the SIM card slots part of the main circuit board. In which case it is possible that when you dropped the phone you may have damaged the pins on the SIM card slot. If you do have dual SIM card slots on your phone I would recommend swapping the SIM card to the other slot. Also if you SIM card is an older card, you may want to contact your carrier for a replacement SIM card

My dual sim is not detected even after made several steps like phone reboot, network reset, airplane mode and reverse to normal mode etc….But the surprise is that the sim card was not detected only after updated the software 12.5.10????? Is there any solution for this? why these errors are not been highlighted before purchasing this comp[any mobile??
