Hey there! My Xbox has been going strong for the past while, but a little while ago, it started shutting itself off at random times, and it got progressively worse, to the point where it would start itself up, and shut off randomly, and rapidly. I took it apart, and cleaned everything, and paid close attention to cleaning the Rf module, and it worked again. For a couple months anyway. Now it’s back to doing it again. It’s not overheating, it’s not filthy inside, so what is it?Am I right, Is something wrong with the Rf module? I just need to know so I know what part I need to order to end this once and for all. It’s really tedious, because I use it to watch YouTube when I’m trying to sleep, and without it, I’m at a loss! Thanks in advance!
If you have or can get a hold of a wired controller try this: Remove the front panel and RF board. Used wire controller to turn on the console. If the problem stops then you know your rf board is faulty.
I’d start by replacing the front panel (replacement part), it could well be a faulty power on/off touch sensor. If the problem still persists after that then move on to the RF Module board (replacement part) following this guide to for both jobs
