I replaced the factory thermal paste on my launch ed X1X with grizzley crauonaut. I know I didn’t use too much and I didn’t get any overflow. I put everything back exactly as I took it apart but when I went to turn it on the X light came on with the beeping sound then it immediately shut off again. I could hear a slight pop near the power cord inlet. It just keeps doing the same thing. Any suggestions please help.
“I could hear a slight pop near the power cord inlet.” Sounds like a capacitor burst on the PSU. Open up your Xbox and examine for burnt spots or burst capacitors. You can have a look at this teardown if you need help opening your Xbox. Xbox One X Teardown
