Hi! I have to replace the bottom plate od my x100F. I have watched X100T dissesembly guide on this site. It is not clear do I have to peel the leatherette or do I just remove the six screws at the bottom of the camera with the leatherette on. Did anyone took appart the x100F? Thank you Neven
I took both cameras apart and removing the bottom plate of the X100F is way easier than with the X100T. You just need to remove 5 screws in the bottom. One at the battery compartment and the four remaining ones on the opposite side – leave the two at the tripod mount where they are for now. You can then remove the bottom plate. If you need you can unscrew the tripod mount to move it to the new bottom plate. Since your post has been here for a while this might not be of interest to you anymore, but maybe it is helpful for somebody else in the future ;) Cheers Chris
Hello Chris, thanks for you answer. I did found someone who made the replacement but still I am sure that one more screw must be removed, the one on the side of the camera (the one with the focus selection lever. Please verify it, so people do not wonder about it, if they have to do it. Cheers Neven
How do we buy a replacement base plate?
