Hello, My washing machine WT1101CW started to make a grinding sound last week. It sounded more like the plastic teeth on the drive assembly slipping. Not sure. I replaced the entire assembly clutch housing (AEN73131403). Put it back together, same thing. After reading and seeing probably 200 videos and posts, i was sure it was the clutch. Guess not. I put it on special mode and tried to rinse and spin only. It will try to agitate, but jerk and make grinding sounds like something is not free wheeling the way it should be. I pause it and hit play again. Then it will try to spin, but after a few seconds, it gets stuck and jerks again like something is not letting it freewheel. Then after jerking around for 10 seconds or so, the tub stops and a humming sound comes from the right front of the machine, so I stop it. I ordered one of the little diverter motor (4681EA1009H) a few days ago. Maybe this is the problem. It seems like maybe the little motor is not moving correctly and causing the clutch to not operate correctly. Thoughts, Ideas????
You said you replaced the clutch housing but did you replace the actual clutch? OEM Part # AEN73131406
barrypellegrin & @coreyerin this could be caused by a bad hall sensor as well as a cracked rotor magnet. you did not tell us if your machine displays an error code or if you tried to run the diagnostics.
