Chosen Solution

So, I was bold enough to finally replace my cracked iphone screen myself and I did all well and according to the instructions, but at the very end I messed it up. In a rush of joy that the display works and impatience kicked in I screwed the wrong one into the iphone to close it all. See picture. Does anyone have got any suggestion on how to get it out. I completely destroyed the screw on the inside, so a screwdriver won’t hold on to anything. Someone suggested to solder the screwdriver to the screw and that way try to turn it around and pull it out. But, might not work. Then I need to break my screen again - ironically - to hold the screw on the other side and turn on the outside. So, before I do that, anyone perhaps another idea on how to solve this conundrum I am in?

I actually have had this issue recently when a customer brought me their phone to try and remove the screw very similar to yours. I tried using super glue, Soldering, JB Weld, and nothing seemed to work for me as it was really stuck and nothing would grip it to back it out. I ended up getting it out by using a very small drill bit (Don’t remember what exact size) but it was just a bit smaller than the screw head. I gently applied even (Straight on) pressure to it to get the head of the screw off. Then I was able to open the phone and used a very small needle nose pliers to get the thread portion out of the LCD assembly. Just be very careful not to go in too deep…just enough to remove the head of the screw… Worked for me! :) Let me know what you ened up doing to resolve your issue?
