i have a tv box called Polar , that used 5 V power. i accidentely wired it to a 12 volts adapter which ruined it , now the blue power light is faded and the machine doesnt work. just a faded blue light when u turn it on . Any idea what electronic part could be burnt and how to change it . i have few photos that i can supply Thank you

Many of these devices have voltage regulators or at least diodes on the power input line to protect them from errors like these. If you can post a picture of the board (both sides) that would be helpful. Also, please note that not all have this protection built-in. If yours does not, then there are likely other non-obvious issues that may be causing this problem. Post the pictures first and we’ll go from there. Dan

………………………….

here is it

this is the other side what do you think i should do

All of the connections for both jacks appear to have rings around them which is to say that they need to be repaired. If you can solder, try resoldering all of those connections. Believe it ornot, that may be the only problem. It may have been a coincidence that the use of 12V triggered the probelm. Try this first and let me know the results. I did not see any protection component based upon the first set of pictures so further investigation will be required if the above doesn’t work. Keep me posted. Dan

Those 5 ?

The Solder points wouldnt melt , they r not solder paste maybe. by the way when you turn it on , it gives light blue color (faded ) instead of strong one and no power out
