I did a total screen replacement about a year ago even though it was just a broken LCD., and now there is an old screen sitting around my house. If I were to replace the LCD on this old independent panel, would I be able to go through a routine screen replacement putting it onto another device, or would there be extra steps into reinstalling it?
You can’t just swap out screens! The design of the display is unique to the given system, in this case more so! Apple loves making things harder! The Apple display is a split design part of the circuitry sits inside the main case area unlike the older 2015 retina models which had all of the circuitry within the lid. Most laptops still follow the older method so there is no way to use it.
