After pushing the power button on the bottom of the TV, UN32H5203AFXZA standby light blinks once then goes back to solid. Unplugged the TV, held down the button to discharge any residual power, and tried again with the same results. There is no picture or sound. I have tried using a different power chord and replacing the power board, but problem persists. I am trying to determine if the problem is the main board and whether or not it is worth repairing for the price. I don’t see any physical damage to the main board or any other components (I believe the problem started after a heavy storm)
@jeffthewhiteguy sounds to me like you are saying you already replaced the power board. If so, you will need to start taking some voltage measurements on the connector from the power board to the main board. You are looking for PS-ON/STBY voltages etc. Compare those with the values that should be stenciled on the power board. Remember that with your TV, it is the power board that supplies the power but the main board that tell it what to do with it. (simplified). If any doubt about this, post some good pictures of all of your boards and the interconnect cables so we can see what you see Adding images to an existing question It may just be the main board that requires to be replaced.
