Chosen Solution
It was booting up past that going to safari and the os utilities window the only thing I tried different was restart held option button and the disk option poped up so I chose the recovery disk instead of the os based system disk. Im trying to go back and reverse the decision but now it wont go there can someone give me some good advice on what to do.
If you have an external drive you can boot off of it from a backup, another option is to hold option and use internet recovery and then restore from a time machine backup. If you dont have a backup you may have to restore it without a backup. If you data is important to you you can purchase a dock and take the hard drive out and pull off the data using another computer. If you dont have another computer you can replace the hard drive and os and put the old drive into a dock and pull your data off of it that way.
