Chosen Solution
Phone was fine until it was updated to iOS 14. Now it must be completely off to charge at all. Tried multiple cords, all of which worked with other devices. Computer won’t recognize it when plugged in. Tried hard rebooting, factory resetting, and updating once since this happened. Any idea what’s causing this and if it might be fixable? The battery is original, and it’s at 86% max capacity. Thanks!
It’s not the battery. If it is not due to dirty connector or broken flex cable, it’s broken tristar chip, which is not easy to repair considering the logic board is dual layer.
