I work at a repair shop and a customer came in saying his Xbox won’t turn on. The power brick is orange and when I press the power and eject button there is a very soft “ding” but no lights turn on anywhere and the consoles power brick stays orange the entire time. This is the second power brick I have tried. I did also take it all apart and clean the entire console and apply new thermal paste and still nothing.
Do you have another console that you can try the customer’s power brick on? This could eliminate the power brick entirely as the problem.
