Hey all, Having an issue with my MBP. I don’t see a screen lighting up, the backlit logo on the back isn’t lighting up, and the built in keyboard gives me nothing. I do see the green light on the charger and I hear the sounds internally when I turn it on. However no boot-chime as well. What could it be? Any help will be greatly appreciated! -Lars
You’ll need to pop off the bottom cover so you can visually see the fan blades. Follow this guide: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2012 Battery Replacement. Follow the first four steps. With the battery disconnected as well as the MagSafe charger press and hold the power button for a good 15 secs. Now with the system on the side plug in the MagSafe charger did the fan blades move? Now disconnect the charger and plug in the battery and then the charger again, did the system startup?
