I replaced the front screen and the whole back frame. I put everything back together. And now I get the connect the charger screen. I plug in the charger and nothing works. All I get is the black screen with the red battery flashing to charge the phone. I’ve been looking at this for 4 days I need help!! Thanks

If it’s not charging u have damaged the dock when reassembley role ace try a new dock

Is there a waaher that goes under the charge port beause I have a washer that’s not beu ng usee where does that go?

I had this same problem after I replaced the battery on my iPhone 5 with the iFixit battery and kit. When I tried to charge it I only got the black screen with the red battery low indicator. Nothing changed no matter how long I left it. If I unplugged it I would get the plug in animation but nothing else. I disassembled and reassembled a couple of times with no change. I cleaned the charging port. Then I tried putting the old battery back in and it charged fine. I happened to have another new battery from iFixit, so I used that battery and voila it works fine. So it seems like one of the batteries or the battery connector was bad.
