Hi, I was trying to fix my DSi when I accidentally put the battery in backwards/opposite. Now even with it in correctly, it no longer turns on. When I try to charge it, the orange light just blinks. Does anybody know how I can fix this?
Hi @caydennguyen Most probably the console didn’t have reverse polarity protection so you’ve likely damaged some components on the motherboard. Here’s an image taken from the ifixit Nintendo DSi Motherboard Replacement guide, that shows where the battery connector attaches to the board. You may have to start checking the components around there. You’ll need the schematics to help identify a component if it is faulty or not, but unfortunately I can’t find any online.
