It won’t power on it started by being intermittent about powering on and now it won’t power on.. there is no display when I try to power on. The LED on the power switch lights up but that’s all that happens. It has a solid state drive
Hi @Colden Haulfield You may have a problem with the Power control circuitry on the motherboard. It is detecting that there is Power connected to the laptop but then not allowing it to run from that power source. If you have a Dell E6230 then here’s a link to the motherboard schematics for your laptop, which may help As I said this is down to board component level fault diagnosis. Try the DC DC Interface circuits on p.42
If the laptop display and the external monitor do not display then the problem is the Graphics Adapter on the motherboard. You should check to see if this laptop is in warranty with Dell, usually one year. If it is not in warranty then you will need to decide between the cost to repair or the cost to replace. The data on the hard drive is probably intact.
