Chosen Solution
I changed out 3 original iPhone batteries with the ifixit replacements and only 1 phone has been successful. One phone swelled and I was sent out a new battery right away. Now another phone just started to act up yesterday. My wife plugged in and when she woke up it was still at 16% and we have tried multiple chargers. It now turns off and shows between 1% and 16%. I did a hard reset and when I go into setting under battery usage and it shows no data. Seems I have received another bad battery!
I can see the lightning bolt showing charge but it goes away. My issue is the battery usage showing no data. This tells me the battery is bad.
