After removing the internal components and cleaning the keyboard due to boredom in this lockdown my mid 2012 MacBook Pro 500GB hd won’t boot back up after putting everything back together. The start up chimes and the cd drive start with the fan running normally but that’s it. Nothing on the screen, no backlight, no keyboard light. Seems to be charging normally. Tried an external display and still nothing. Tried a smc and nvram reset and still nothing. Won’t boot up in safe mode. I’m at a complete loss. Have I damaged the hardware somewhere? If anybody has any sort of helpful information it will be highly appreciated! TIA
OK, lets walk this back taking out the logic board per this guide MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Logic Board Replacement. As you do take a nice sharp picture of the cables and the connector as you go through the process. I’m thinking something is either not properly connected or got damaged somehow.
