Hi, sorry I just picked a random modem version I have a Huawei wireless router. The WLAN and Mode light keeps flashing. For a while I have great internet connection, and then it disappears (say every 15min). It comes back by itself eventually. How can I fix this, please?

Hi @ shelly.arnold91 There is a 5 bar signal strength indicator light on the side of the modem at the top, toward the front of the unit. (see #6 on image in user manual - link below) How many bars are showing and when the connection is lost how many are showing then? What colour is the Mode light? The Mode light blinking is OK, if blue, green or orange. The WLAN light will blink at the same time. That just means that data is being transferred from your device to the network and back etc. If the mode light is blinking White, then the modem is trying to connect or re-connect to the provider’s network. That’s why signal strength is important especially if there are no bars being shown. Low or no signal indications usually mean disconnections can occur. You may have to reposition the modem to get a better signal. The user manual shows that external antennas (#18 in the picture of the device) can be connected but doesn’t specify if it is for the WiFi signal reception or the wireless signal (LTE/3G) from the service provider. If your mobile phone is connected to the same service provider as the modem check the signal strength on it when it is placed next to the modem in comparison to what the modem is showing
