Hey guys, my friends just gave me this macbook pro, when i plug in the charger, fan automatically start spinning slowly, no chime, i havnt even tapped the power button, and when i try to shut it down by pressing the power button for 10 seconds, its dosent turn off (fan still keep spinning) Only way i could get a response from the macbook pro, is if i press the power button (located at the keyboard) and THEN plug in the magsafe 2, and keep pressing the power button, after about 5 seconds fan start spinning extremely fast and theres a chime, then the apple logo and everything works as normal, except for the fans, they’re extremely fast and noisy…tried resetting SMC, PRAM already to no avail… problem number 1: need to do the aforementioned method to start up my mac problem number 2: even after it turns on, the fans are too terribly fast and noisy one odd thing to notice is, when i unplug the battery, and plug the magsafe 2, fans dont spin at all, and if i press the power button, i get no response from it as well… what could be the problem?, anything software?, tried completely new macos re-install, still the same!
Ask your friend for a history of the machine, especially about any liquid damage to the keyboard. Next open it up and examine the logic board closely for any corrosion or indication of liquid damage. See if any of the LSI indicators have turned red.
