i dont have an answer,, i am having th e same problem with a SONY BRAVIA.. with the flashlight i can see the picture, sound works and all that.. i took it to good repair guy in town here, but he said it would cost too much to replace the piece and i was better off just to buy a new tv.. i personally think they were checking to see wether or not i would go all the way back to their shop to pick the thing back up, as it is on the other side of town. i have since gotten it back as i had to go pick up a SONY VCR they were working on as well. i dunno.. i cant force myself to throw it away at this point. i just wish i didnt think the people were trying to run a scam on me in the first place,, as they have done work on my things in the past.. anyways, take it easy.. therese supposed to be a question in there somewhere,,, same one, just a different brand i suppose.. . thanks.. dave

blackwonx2whitewon  since you “with the flashlight i can see the picture” it is pretty clear that you are having a backlight issue. Most common with this particular error is a failed backlight array (less common a failed power board but possible). If you give us the complete model number for your TV we can see if we can narrow it down. From a complexity point it will be way easier to replace the power board and see if that fixes it. If you want to open up the back off your TV and take some good pictures of the boards you can then post these with your question. that will allow us to see what you see.
