Whilst removing the rear glass from my iPhone X, I accidentally stabbed a hole in the wireless charging NFC. It’s very small, and since it’s so flimsy it doesn’t even look like there’s a hole after flattening it back out. Anyways, I pierced through the coil only. Would love to know your thoughts so I can predict whether or not I’ll need to buy a replacement! Thanks, D
Depends on whether the actual wire is ripped or if it just has a scratch. If the wire is ripped, then it certainly won’t work! You’d have to buy a new one. If it has a small scratch, then it should work. Just put a strip of tape over it to prevent it from shorting anything while inside the phone. Another easy way to test is to plop it on a wireless charger. If it doesn’t work, than it won’t charge. Good luck!
