I’ve put this car in several shops, the fuel pump has been check, fuses have been checked, fuel regulator checked, I put a gauge on the fuel rail and the pressure will shoot up and then go way down when you apply a little gas. And its almost like it either floods its self with gas or does the opposite whenever you shut it off so when you go to crank it again it will not start at all. I have absolutely no idea what it could possibly be nor have I heard anyone talk about this, any advice???
It sounds like your Ford Mustang may have an issue with the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. When you apply a little gas, the pressure in the fuel rail shoots up and then drops, which could indicate a problem with the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. One potential cause of this issue is a faulty fuel pump. The fuel pump is responsible for delivering fuel from the gas tank to the engine, and if it is not working properly, it can cause the engine to run poorly or not start at all. A faulty fuel pump may not be able to deliver enough fuel to the engine, which can cause the engine to run lean (not enough fuel) and potentially damage the engine. Another potential cause of this issue is a faulty fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pressure regulator is responsible for maintaining the correct fuel pressure in the fuel system. If it is not working properly, it can cause the fuel pressure to fluctuate, which can affect the engine’s performance and cause it to run poorly or not start at all.
