I purchased a Samsung 860 EVO SSD 1TB for my Macbook Pro Early 2015, but I’m wondering if I’m going to see any kind of performance penalty based on my current (128 GB, factory standard) drive, which I’ve had trouble finding definite specs for. Does anyone have experience upgrading these laptops with a Samsung drive? Realistically, am I going to see any kind of performance difference with what I think (based on third-party sites) is a lower read-write speed with the Samsung drive? I’m a web developer for what it’s worth, so I’m not just browsing Facebook and Pinterest.
I think you bought the wrong type of drive.
