My iPhone 7 screen broke when the phone was still new, so with all the original parts. Its turned off, but restarts don’t work and my mac doesn’t recognise it. I want to do a screen replacement but I’m not sure if that will fix it, given the fact that it doesn’t seem to respond to being connected to the computer… will replacing the broken screen fix my phone?? Thank you!

Try charging it for a few hours and see if the iTunes will recognize it. How did the screen break? Did you drop the phone? If you did drop the phone how far did it fall and did it hit hard? Update (05/21/2020) iPhone 7 has issues with problems with a multiple issues with the motherboard the case was weak and would twist and bend easily and cause the board that was screwed down to flex and cause solder contacts to break and cause a lot of issues. It’s up to you how much time and money you want to put in it. But lately the value of a iPhone 7 has dropped quite a bit. You would probably be better to buy a uses iPhone 8 or the new iPhone se 2020.
