I dropped my ps4 like 4 weeks ago and it got a crack under the power button and after the fall the performance was good but now 3 days ago a power outage happened and the performance got very laggy and a day after the power outage the ps4 crashed and when i turned it on it said to insert usb with reinstallation for version 9.60 or later and i did but it didnt work. i did everything i could find for help i unplugged it for 2 hours plugged it back in didnt work. i did option 4 in safe mode, option 5, option 3, option 6, and 7 nothing worked then i thought i needed to clean the hard drive so i took it out and cleaned it with compressed air but nothing worked the message asking for the usb device still popped up so i thought to request a repair through playstation.com and they sent me an email saying the they will return it without repair due to damage caused by acts of god, misuse, or accident. Act of god, the power went out even though there wasnt a thunderstorm and it was only our house on the block with the power going out Misuse/Accident, it was on a shelf and the controller was charging and i got jumpscared by a game and i jumped so hard i pulled on the controller making it fall and get a crack on the bottom of the console. i just want them to fix my ps4 so that it turns on back to normal, i dont care if i lose all my data nor do i care about the crack at the bottom, super glue can fix that, will they still do the repair???

they will decline the repair as you said it fell off a shelf so that will be under accidental damage. if it has the crack on the housing they would’nt even open it. if you want to get it repaired i suggest checking this site for a technician near you https://www.repairlegion.com/repair
