Hi Guys, the phone decided one day last month to not turn on. at the time i didn’t realize that the battery did not charge ether. after i googled the problem and followed most of the “fixes” (which didn’t work) i checked the battery and it was pretty much dead. i charged the battery in another phone and put it into the S4. the phone still did not turn on, but the battery picture came up on screen. it showed the battery as being at a much lower charge capacity than the other phone which charged it. i touched the glass and it felt very warm to the touch. i pulled the battery out and now i am asking for help. i have pulled the SD card and the sim card. i wanted to try to do a repair myself. i do need the “Data” on the phone so i thought you guys could help me out before i “go in” blind. thanks. inetbogey
I think your need a technician to fix this. I am a technician and I have lots of similar issue often. It could be that the USB charging port is bad and unable to charge your phone while the battery is completely dead. Try this. Get a healthy battery, insert it on the phone, turn it on and note the difference.
