I had just bought minutes for the month and as I was about to step in my house, my iPhone thought would be funny to fall out of my coat pocket whilst in an Otter Case. Had fallen before and would function as normal. However this time around, it will not turn on or open up to the main screen. When plugged in the Apple logo flashes. Had researched the issue and was decided that the mother board may be the issue or something to that nature. Took my phone to a licensed electronic engineer and was assessed as not worth the money to fix and better to buy a functioning model he had on hand. I did only inherit the phone and don’t have the funds to buy a newer phone and would like to know if this mother board issue is at all repairable and or a simple fix?
multiple possible reasons could cause this issue. ALWAYS REMEMBER, before trying to open your iphone, always attempt a hard reset. (Plug the device in, and hold the power button and home button together for 15-20 seconds, or until you see the apple logo) remove the battery connector prior to attempting any repair, and always use antistatic precautions
- loose connection from impact: Open the device, disconnect and reconnect both the battery, and screen flex cables. Check if if fixes the issue.
- Battery fail (damage from impact): Replace the battery check if this fixes the issue. 3)internal LCD damage: Replace the screen. check if this fixes the issue
- Board level damage: Replace Logic board. see if this fixes the issue.
