Hi, I am having problems with my macbook pro mid-2014 in that it will not charge. I plug the magsafe charger in and no light comes on. I have tried multiple solutions including purchasing a new charger, resetting the SMC and even replacing the magsafe in-DC board (using this guide - MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Mid 2014 MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement). Unfortunately the laptop is out of batter so I can’t check the battery health via system preferences to see if it needs to be replaced. Any suggestions of next step? It is out of warranty and I would prefer to just fix it myself, but am a little hesitant to jump straight into a full battery replacement before attempting other options.
