I replaced the glass on my ipad 2 and am getting some strange results. I can see that i have nicked the power button cable on top right hand side. The device will not charge. The volume, home and power button will not work. My question is, if the power, mute, volume flex cable has been damaged on the top right, would this stop the device charging? Or have i damaged the logic board connector for the charger during strip down? Thanks
Thanks Well it is not detected by itunes either, So guess either the flex connector from charging port to the logic board has broken, or logic board connector has broken. I cant see damage either way, guess only option is to buy a new charging port connector and test as if its the logic board the device is a write off anyway
