I dropped my charger on the end of my touchbar and its kind of dead towards the end. Will the whole thing go out before i can get it fixed? How much would this repair cost? Im trying not to press so hard on it or slam the screen down. Everything still works even Siri even though you cant see it.
Well good news! You don’t need to replace the uppercase at all, you only need to replace the TouchBar its self! MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2016-2017) Touch Bar Assembly Its still a big job so you might want to find someone better skilled.
Hello, Shortly : no it shouldn’t break even more. The Touch Bar is attached to the keyboard, so Apple will change the battery, keyboard and Touch Bar (the hole bottom assembly of your Mac actually). This should cost around 600$. From what I see in your photo, and from what you say (it still works), I don’t think paying for a replacement would be a great idea. Wait for your keyboard to get stuck (keys can get stuck easily on these models), and let Apple repair it for free (they repair this issue for free, changing the hole bottom part, so the Touch Bar also).
