So I recently Bought a new iphone 6s screen to replace my broken one but i am wondering if it is mandatory to switch over the components from the old screen to the new one in order for the new one to turn on or work?

no, everything will work fine, with the exception of the Touch ID. if your new screen came with a home button, it will work as a home button only. original home buttons come from the Apple factory mated (by serial number) to the motherboard. if your new screen did not come with a home button, then you would need to transfer yours and you will retain Touch ID. not replacing the components with the original won’t matter in a 6s. sure if you do a Verification Report in 3uTools, it will report that those components are not original, but they’ll work all the same. i believe iPhone X were the last ones that we could do DIY repairs with out the phone itself wigging out and not working with the new parts.
