Hi I run a small DIY screen replacement hobby business. I have been caught out on this iPad Mini 3 A1599. After checking suppliers they supplied me a digitizer with out the IC. Also the digitizer they have listed comes with the standard “Home Button” of course Ipad mini 3 have “Finger Print reignition” I have 1 question #1 will the ipad mini 2 LCD fit and work on a ipad mini 3 ? Interestingly enough , I just received my first iPad Mini 3 LCD that I’ve ordered and it works without a problem. Screen Part # is LP079QX1-SP0V (LG) If you do a Google search you’ll see that LP079QX1-SP0V returns results for the iPad Mini 2 Genuine LCD , so I would say that yes the 2 LCD’s are the same (at least in this case)
the ipad min A1489 lcd is working in my ipad mini 3 A1599 ipad mini. and the ipad min 3 works in the 2. while i was working on the repairs i tried this out. works perfectly.
Yup definitely different. I think it’s the connectors. My supplier just told me they are different so I went by his word.
