Hello, WiFi IC sometimes heats up so high that I get temperature warning and device shuts down. But after few restarts, phone works fine.. But it can’t detect any wifis.. I turn on wifi and it’s just searching… One time wifi was greyed out but I restored device and now it works but no wifis.. Bluetooth just loading so I can’t use bluetooth too, nothing found.. When I go to settings I have WiFi MAC Adress, it’s not N/A… So I am confused rn, if it’s IC problem, why it has wifi adress and why it sometimes work sometimes doesn’t.. Could antenna cause this problem? For example if it doesn’t work, IC struggle to get some signal and it’s gets too hot.. Idk really.. Thank everyone in advice for helping. P.S Don’t tell me something like restore it again, take it to apple etc. because i already restored it few times and I don’t have apple store or tehnician with good tools and knowledge in my arena so I am on my own

If it’s the Wi-Fi greying out as in it can’t be switched on in settings this is the Wi-Fi IC that is short-circuiting. For the ideal solution would be just a shorted capacitor near the wifi chip that powers the Wi-Fi IC but it is almost never that and it tends to be a component in the Wi-Fi chip (it is actually a chipset package comprised of smaller components inside the chip). If a component has failed in the Wi-Fi chip, it would need to be replaced and the NAND flash chip which is basically like the hard drive on a phone will also need to be re-programmed as the Wi-Fi MAC address is also stored on the nand flash chip which must match or else the phone will not boot past apple logo. In short, when it comes to these types of Wi-Fi chip failures they tend to cost too much to fix or are along the lines of being too much hassle to get it replaced. I would recommend getting another phone in this case.
