I’ve completed the following steps to no avail for my iPhone 6 Greyed out wifi:
- Updated version to latest
- Restarted phone
- Reset wifi network
- Restored to factory settings
- Replaced wifi antenna None of this worked. I don’t want to pay Apple for repair or a new phone. Do you think replacing the motherboard might work? That is a heck of a lot cheaper than the options Apple has to offer. Everything works fine on the phone except wifi and Bluetooth. Thank you for your time. Respectfully, Mike
Do not replace the MLB, it’s a waste of money. Try to repair the MLB instead.
My WiFi was greyed out and my Bluetooth was also not working on my iPhone 6 so I replaced the WiFi antenna flex cable and then my WiFi and Bluetooth both started working. This seems to be a pretty common problem but nearly all of the youtube videos and websites are rubbish. iPhone 6 Antenna Flex Cable Replacement
It’s the wifi chip, common problem but not so much an easy fix, it requires soldering skills time and effort, best bet is YouTube iPhone 6 wifi chip replacement and that’ll tell you where the chip is on the board, Hope this helped Regards Lucas
So when your wifi is greyed out its an issue with your wifi/bluetooth module or usually surrounding small components (possible capacitor not at right temperature). Heating the wifi module isn’t something I’d recommend as these wifi modules hate heat. Was the phone liquid damaged or exposed to extreme heat?
