I need to know where exactly the wifi chip/ic on my z30 motherboard is located. My wifi sometimes detects signals , sometimes not . If is detects signals , sometimes it connects sometimes not . I think a simple heating up the wifi chip might fix my problem. Please some 1 help me tx.
Nav J, from what it looks like on the schematic the Wifi chip is U1000. It is under the EMI shield marked on the attached image
Hi I have removed the shield , please confirm whether the shiny IC is wifi IC or not. Also on the another picture you may notice that one small connector is broken . Can you please tell me what is the use of that connector.?
