I realized that my battery was lasting less and less so I decided to buy an iFixit kit to replace the battery. I replaced the battery without any problems using the tutorial on this website and i checked to see if my screen turned on to test it the first time and it did. I had forgotten to put one of the metal covers on so I had to go back and do that but once I did and plugged everything in place and closed the iPhone, I tried turning it on and the screen didn’t want to turn on but when I plugged the iPhone in it vibrated so I knew it was on. I concluded that i had to get a new screen so I got one and I just installed it and i’m getting the same issue, the phone charges but the screen will still not turn on. Any help?

Did you forget to unplug the battery before touching the screen cables? Because it’s very easy to damage the backlight circuit on these phones with the battery still plugged in.
