So I recently unplugged my PS4 in order clear the fan as it was becoming very loud to the point where gaming was unbearable. After hoovering all of the dust out for my PS4 and returning the battery to it’s position I attempted to boot up my console and the light stayed on for around 2 seconds and instantly cut out. I believe it may be because I hoovered it but would like to know if it can be repaired, Thanks.

The first thing to check is that you have the APU clamp on correctly and that the screws are tightened down fully. Most of the time when it turns on and back off after you’ve had it apart it’s because the clamp isn’t tightened all the way. I’ve seen a lot of these clamps installed upside down as well. If none of that works you could always try the washer fix.

Hi there, Did you disassemble the console down to the motherboard in order to clean it? Because it sounds like the console may have been put back together incorrectly, or by running the vacuum over the board, you may have knocked off a component. Could you elaborate about what exactly was done to the console when you cleaned it? I’d love to help you, I fix these things all the time! -Samantha
