macbook will not st art Update (11/03/2015) how do I do a SMC reset. Battery is fully chargd. Green light is on charger and when button on side is pushed, a row of green dots come on.
This is the procedure to reset the SMC from Apple: To reset the SMC: Shut down the computer. Plug in the MagSafe or USB-C power adapter to a power source and to your computer. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time. Press the power button to turn on the computer. Give it a try, let us know if it makes any difference.
