Chosen Solution

so earlier yesterday i decided to buy a old cracked iphone 5s for parts off my friend and i planned to take the logic board it had out and transplant it into a much better conditioned iphone 5s i previously owned. so i proceeded to do so with success putting it together correctly. though i did keep the same home button together with the logic board to keep the touch ID. so when i reassembled it, the phone wouldnt turn on. ive had the phone on the charger for almost 4 hours and everytime i try to power it on nothing works. its just dead. the screen doesnt respond at all. mind i was using that phone the day previously . any idea where things are going wrong?

So, the cracked one you bought from your friend worked fine? The body you transplanted it into worked as well or was there anything wrong with it? I would try to check the charging port first then work your way to the battery.
