i bought an archos 101 without a charger and bought one direct from archos via internet. its been charging over night and still wont start and green light still shows solid… is there anything that can be done to get it turned on?
There may be a problem with your charger. Even thought the light is on, it may not be going through the wire into your device. I would try a new charger, or else, check the end of the charger with a powerful multimeter (warning: very high voltages when dealing with this) and if it shows a voltage, the charger should be fine. If you get to this part, you will have to repair your charger port. If if still isn’t working, it may be your battery in your device and/or the board of the device. (may have got fried during charging)
I am having the same problem, but I can only charge mine with the usb cable. How do I go about repairing the charger port?
I have had 4 Archos tablets and none of them worked. What’s up with that co. I got a laptop now gateway and I love it never have problems with it. I think somebody needs to go out of business or your going to be sued!!!
