Chosen Solution
I recently cleaned out my console (Pal Version) as it was freezing due to having corrosion on a connector pin. After reassembly the console loads all games without freezing however star and select no longer work on any controller. There is no issue with the controls. Any ideas? Thanks
Flat cable that goes from controller ports board to motherboard is probably damaged.
