My laptop battery life was shortening so I ordered a replacement battery from iFixit. However, my laptop will not start up past the Lenovo screen with the new battery. I am able to start up while plugged in, but my laptop powers down about 15 seconds after I unplug the charger. This problem does not occur with my old battery. The new battery does charge while plugged in and I performed a gauge reset on the new battery.
I’m afraid this sounds very much like a faulty battery. Report all the details to iFixit and request a replacement. You’ll find BatteryInfoView from Nirsoft is a great utility for reporting battery state.
