Why Won T My Ipod Charge Ipod Touch

My iPod touch wont charge,It recognized the iPod in DFU mode so i put it into DFU and restoring it using ITunes, but that didn’t work.Also when i plug it in and leave it the for an hour or so it still doesn’t charge, only the charging sing is appearing like in the image.

Are you charging using an official Apple charger? I’ve found other chargers, and USB port charging can often not provide enough current to Apple devices to charge them properly. They’ll do as you are seeing, sit on the charging screen but not actually get anywhere.
