Hi guys, I have a problem with my iPhone, after replacing the GPS antenna (it was broken), the iPhone won’t boot. When I switch on the iPhone the Apple Logo is shortly flashing on the screen, nothing else! I tried a recovery without any signals on iTunes! Any tips or ideas? Sorry for my “english”! Greetings from Germany
Greetings from the USA! Try putting the phone in DFU mode and then doing a restore. Unfortunatly there is no way to back up your phone right now so you will have to use a previous backup.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer with the USB cable. Make sure iTunes is open.
- Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
- After 10 seconds release only the Power button and continue to hold the Home button until the phone shows up in iTunes.
- Proceed with a restore and your phone should be OK. The reason the phone may not be working is a conflict in drives/firmware of the new GPS/Antenna. Hope this helps! -Varsity
I had a similar problem with an iPhone 3G I worked on- is there any water damage in the dock connector? If there is, that will prevent it from connecting to the computer.
Varsity, thanks for your help! No reaction, no device in itunes, only a short flashing apple logo on the screen! Sometimes i hate my iphone.
Josh, no Problems with water or anything else, it works fine bevore i changed the GPS antenna.
Sounds like. Battery issue.
