The battery would drain fast on my phone so I figured that it needed a new battery. So I bought one and the tools and replaced the battery. Before replacing the battery, it would at least charge fine, but as soon as I replaced the battery, now it won’t charge at all. Can anyone help me with this?
It sounds like the tristar ic is damaged. It can happen from using an aftermarket charging cable that is not MFI Certified. Take it to a repair shop and have them test the tristar ic. It only takes a minute and they shouldn’t charge you. If it bad get some prices and warranty information and have someone replace the chip. You need specialty equipment and experience to replace the chip.
