Chosen Solution Basically, when my USB port started working erratically on my pixel 3, instead of repairing it then I wiggled it as that tended to get it charging. After a while it stopped working. I went to a repair shop and they were able to get it working again partially; the USB cable only worked one way, but it charged. The repair guy said that in order to get it fully working would require soldering and be more difficult/expensive; it may be however that that was an alternative to ordering and waiting for parts....
