Chosen Solution The R button does not work at all when pressed. It can be pressed but I noticed it doesn’t move as far as the L button. The ZL button, when pressed, causes the system to shut off for some reason. I bought this used off of eBay and it doesn’t have a warranty so I’m trying to avoid paying $50+ to get it fixed. My best idea is to check the connections and make sure they’re correct and solid....

You could also just use Google, just saying… The “popping” noise is a common issue on the complete DS family, it protects the console from damage due to shorts etc. by not letting the console power on if one of the ribbons aren’t connected properly or if one of the components are faulty....

Chosen Solution I have a bizarre problem with my MacBook Air. The WiFi only works only on stable, hard and flat surfaces. The WiFi is unusable in any other kind of situation: lying in bed, sitting on the sofa, using it on your lap etc… It doesn’t lose connection to the router, it just doesn’t connect to the internet regardless of the router type and speed (I have tested it on 5 separate routers, in 5 separate locations)....

Chosen Solution I replaced my Google Pixel 3 battery and then plugged the phone into a charging cable. After about 3 hours, I went to turn it on and all it did was give me haptic vibrations whenever I would touch the fingerprint sensor or power button, otherwise completely bricked. I reconnected all the ribbon cables twice and still the same issue. Any thoughts? Considering you’re getting feedback when you touch the finger print sensor, I would say it’s possible you damaged the display while attempting your repair....
Chosen Solution Would love any tips on troubleshooting this situation. Macbook Pro 15" Retina Mid 2015 - A1398_820-00138, has battery A1618. It works fine with Magsafe connector plugged in. Battery shows healthy with 95% charge(checked with coconut battery too). However it powers-off the moment magsafe is removed - i.e. will not run off of battery. I have Electronics Engineering background and am quiet comfortable with micro-electronics troubleshooting. Have repaired quiet a few appliances/gadgets/computers etc....
Chosen Solution Anyone had problems with XS Max screen in this regard? The screen shows a visual display but doesn’t respond to any kind of touch. I found out if I press the screen inward a nudge, I can hear a small popping noise and it will start working for a while, but problem seems to persist. Sounds like the display may need replacing
Chosen Solution If your machine is using the nVida 8600 GPU it was know to fail and had class action law suits on it and Apple had a replacement program for a while. Unfortunately there is little you can do to repair it. I have a stack of these machine all with the same issue. UPDATE Yes, Your machine does have the nVidia GeForce 8600M GT Video Card The cost of replacing the logic board and probably ending up with the same problem would not be wise....

They are compatible. done it myself with no issues The home button itself and its gasket is the same size between the 5 and 5c as far as I can tell, as I have both in front of me now and just swapped them no problem....
