Chosen Solution Won’t turn off running on on battery. I press the power 1..2s and nothing If I plug in the power then pressing 1s the power button turns the console off. When is running with the power cable inserted (and connected to an outlet) disconnecting the power cable turns the console off. The battery only charges half way. Different battery… Same problem. Chosen Solution Using the ifixit steps I replaced the battery and when the battery was fully charged I couldn’t get it to boot up so I could drain the battery. I went through the steps 2 more times to make sure that all connections were solid and still couldn’t get the computer to boot up. Double check your keyboard cable connection. Is the ribbon cable fully seated and squarely in? Did you properly flip the latch up to open and then close it to compress the cable?...

I also put the board in a heating oven for 1 hour on 175 degrees Celsius. When i opened the MacBook the components didn’t look to bad to begin with. After thoroughly cleaning them they look like new. Chosen Solution Will this replacement drive function like the old one e.g. Able to play gamecube and wii disk. if your wii does not support it now, the disk drive can’t change it. the wii may not even work with an incorrect drive. the firmware if different and will not allow gamecube games. i’d suggest finding an older wii, on eBay or such they can be very cheap and you can transfer all data....
